Essential oils are easily absorbed by the skin and can be safely applied topically. Still, proper care needs to be taken as some oils are "hot" and can irritate the skin when not diluted with a proper carrier oil.


Internal
Certain essential oils have a rich culinary history and can be used as dietary supplements for targeted wellness. This method is less commonly used as proper care is needed for internal use. Not all oils should be ingested.
